AcceleratiON Program
OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
As an economic development agency serving Ontario’s creative industries, Ontario Creates is committed to delivering high-impact support that creates jobs and opportunities for Ontarians and contributes to an advantageous business environment for growth. The core objective of the AcceleratiON program is to invest in new and emerging Black- and Indigenous- owned music businesses that demonstrate high potential for economic and cultural impact.
The key goals of this program are to:
- Enhance capacity for emerging Black and Indigenous music businesses.
- Strengthen support at critical stages in the careers of Black and Indigenous entrepreneurs in Ontario’s music ecosystem.
- Enable the next generation of Black and Indigenous music industry professionals to create high quality content and retain IP ownership and control over their own narratives.

HOW TO BE A JUROR
Applications for the funding component of the AcceleratiON program will be reviewed and evaluated by Ontario Music Office staff and an external jury comprised of Black and Indigenous music industry stakeholders. Jurors are selected by the Ontario Music Office. Please see the How to Be a Juror page for details on the AcceleratiON program’s jury process.
